Day 01 – Airport ➝ Kandy
- Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, guests will be warmly welcomed by our Sri Discovery Travels representative.
- Begin the journey towards the picturesque hill capital of Kandy, renowned for its cultural and religious significance.
- Upon arrival, check into your 3–4 star hotel and relax after your flight.
- In the evening, enjoy a vibrant Kandy Cultural Dance Show, featuring traditional Kandyan drumming, fire performances, and centuries-old dance traditions that showcase Sri Lanka’s rich heritage.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 02 – Kandy ➝ Nuwara Eliya
- Start your day with an early morning visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most revered Buddhist pilgrimage UNESCO sites in the world, which houses the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha.
- Return to the hotel for breakfast.
- You may then visit one of the following attractions based on your interests:
- Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya – home to over 4,000 species of plants and one of Asia’s finest botanical gardens.
- Kandy National Museum – showcasing the fascinating history of Sri Lanka’s Kandyan Kingdom.
- Thereafter, proceed to the charming hill station of Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as “Little England” for its colonial architecture, cool climate, and beautifully landscaped gardens.
- En route, enjoy visits to:
- Ramboda Waterfall, one of Sri Lanka’s most spectacular waterfalls.
- Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple, an important Ramayana site believed to be associated with Lord Hanuman’s search for Seetha Devi.
- Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, check in to your hotel and enjoy the refreshing mountain atmosphere.
- Dinner and Overnight Stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 03 – Nuwara Eliya ➝ Southern Coast (Hikkaduwa)
- After breakfast, visit a renowned Tea Plantation and Tea Factory to discover the fascinating process behind world-famous Ceylon Tea. Enjoy breathtaking views of rolling tea-covered hills and learn about one of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated exports.
- Continue to Shanthipura, the highest village in Sri Lanka, where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges from Eagle’s View Point.
- Proceed to explore one of the following significant Ramayana heritage sites:
- Seetha Amman Temple – believed to be the location where Seetha Devi was held captive by King Ravana.
- Hakgala Botanical Garden (Ashok Vatika) – traditionally believed to be part of the legendary Ashoka Grove mentioned in the Ramayana.
- Thereafter, journey towards Sri Lanka’s beautiful Southern Coast.
- Arrive in Hikkaduwa, one of the island’s most popular beach destinations, known for its golden beaches and vibrant coastal atmosphere.
- Check into your 3-4 star beach hotel.
- Dinner and Overnight Stay in Hikkaduwa
Day 04 – Southern Coast Exploration
- After breakfast, enjoy a memorable excursion along Sri Lanka’s stunning southern coastline.
- Explore the historic Galle Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site), originally built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Wander through its charming cobblestone streets, admire beautifully preserved colonial architecture and visit the iconic Galle Lighthouse overlooking the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean.
- Embark on a scenic Madu River Boat Safari through one of Sri Lanka’s most important wetland ecosystems. Cruise past lush mangrove forests, picturesque islands, and diverse wildlife while experiencing the tranquility and natural beauty of this unique eco-tourism destination.
- Return to Hikkaduwa and spend the remainder of the day at leisure, enjoying the beach, swimming, or simply relaxing by the sea.
- Dinner and Overnight Stay in Hikkaduwa.
Day 05 – Hikkaduwa ➝ Colombo
- After breakfast, proceed to Sri Lanka’s vibrant commercial capital, Colombo.
- Upon arrival, visit the Pancha Muga Sri Anjaneyer Temple, one of the most significant places of worship dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
- Thereafter, enjoy a guided Colombo City Tour, showcasing the fascinating blend of colonial heritage and modern urban development.
- Tour highlights include:
- Independence Square – commemorating Sri Lanka’s independence.
- Port City Colombo – South Asia’s newest waterfront development.
- Galle Face Green – the city’s iconic oceanfront promenade.
- One Galle Face Mall – Colombo’s premier shopping and lifestyle destination.
- Local shopping centers and souvenir outlets (time permitting).
- Check in to your 3-4 star hotel.
- Enjoy a Special Farewell Dinner, celebrating the wonderful memories created during your Sri Lankan journey.
- Dinner and Overnight Stay in Colombo.
Day 06 – Colombo ➝ Airport (Departure)
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight.
- Leave Sri Lanka with unforgettable memories of sacred Ramayana legends, breathtaking hill country landscapes, golden beaches, warm hospitality, and cherished experiences that will last a lifetime.
