Day 01 – Arrival in Colombo ➝ Anuradhapura
- Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, guests will be warmly welcomed and assisted by our Sri Discovery Travels Representative.
- Thereafter, proceed on a scenic drive to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s first ancient capital and one of the most sacred Buddhist cities in the world, which served as the center of Theravada Buddhism for many centuries and remains an important pilgrimage destination.
- Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
- The remainder of the day is reserved for rest and leisure, allowing guests to relax after their international journey.
- Dinner and Overnight stay in a 3-4 star hotel in Anuradhapura.

Day 02 – Anuradhapura Sacred City Tour
- After breakfast, guests will visit the most revered sites within the Sacred City including:
- Sri Maha Bodhi
- Ruwanweliseya
- Thuparamaya
- Mirisawetiya
- Lovamahapaya (Brazen Palace)
- Return to the hotel for rest.
- Dinner and Overnight stay in a 3-4 star hotel in Anuradhapura.
Day 03 – Anuradhapura Sacred City Tour
- Early morning climb of Mihintale, the sacred rock where Arahat Mahinda introduced Buddhism to Sri Lanka. This peaceful morning experience offers an atmosphere ideal for meditation and reflectionr breakfast,
- Return to the hotel for breakfast.
- Later, continue visiting important Buddhist sites in Anuradhapura including:
- Abhayagiri Vihara
- Jetavanaramaya
- Lankaramaya

Day 04 – Anuradhapura ➝ Ritigala ➝ Polonnaruwa
- After breakfast, proceed to Polonnaruwa.
- En route, visit Ritigala Forest Monastery, an ancient meditation monastery hidden within a forest reserve, historically used by forest-dwelling monks who followed strict ascetic practices.
- In the evening, visit Gal Vihara, a masterpiece of rock-cut Buddhist sculpture featuring serene Buddha statues carved from a single granite rock.
- Dinner and Overnight stay in a 3-4 star hotel in Polonnaruwa.
Day 05 – Polonnaruwa ➝ Sigiriya
- After breakfast, explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa including visits to:
- Lankatilaka Vihara
- Vatadage
- Rankoth Vihara
- Transfer to Sigiriya.
- Dinner and Overnight stay in a 3-4 star hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 06 – Sigiriya ➝ Dambulla ➝ Matale ➝ Kandy
- Early morning climb of Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient palace ruins, frescoes, and advanced hydraulic systems.
- Return to the hotel for breakfast.
- Visit Dambulla Cave Temple, a sacred cave complex containing over 150 Buddha statues and centuries-old murals.
- Proceed towards Kandy via Matale.
If time permits, visit Matale Alu Vihare, a historically important temple where Buddhist scriptures were first written on palm leaves. - Enjoy a traditional, Cultural Show in the evening.
- Dinner and Overnight stay in a 3-4 star hotel in Kandy.
Day 07 – Kandy City Tour
- Early morning visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which houses one of the most sacred relics of Lord Buddha and remains the spiritual heart of Sri Lankan Buddhism.
- Return to the hotel for breakfast.
- Visit Bahirawakanda Buddha Statue, offering panoramic views of Kandy.
- Later, visit a Spice Garden, where guests can learn about Sri Lanka’s traditional spices and Ayurvedic heritage.
- Dinner and Overnight stay in a 3-4 star hotel in Kandy.
Day 08 – Kandy ➝ Nuwara Eliya
- After breakfast, proceed on a scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s charming hill-country town, known for its cool climate and lush landscapes.
- En route, visit Nelligala Raja Maha Vihara, a hilltop temple offering peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views.
- Visit a tea plantation and factory to experience Sri Lanka’s world-famous Ceylon tea industry.
- Evening spent at leisure and relaxation by Gregory Lake.
- Dinner and Overnight stay in a 3-4 star hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 09 – Kandy ➝ Nuwara Eliya
- After breakfast, transfer to Galle on the southern coast.
- Visit Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing Portuguese and Dutch colonial architecture, followed by a visit to the Galle Lighthouse, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic coastal landmarks.
- Relax and enjoy leisure time by the beachside.
- Dinner and Overnight stay in a 3-4 star hotel in Galle / Mirissa.
Day 10 – Galle/Mirissa & Madu River Excursion
- After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing day based in Galle / Mirissa.
- Proceed on an excursion to the Madu River Eco Safari (Madu Ganga), a tranquil boat journey through mangroves, islands, and rich wetland ecosystems, offering a unique nature experience.
- Return to the hotel and enjoy leisure time by the beach.
- Dinner and Overnight stay in a 3-4 star hotel in Galle / Mirissa.
Day 11 – Galle/Mirissa & Madu River Excursion
- After breakfast, proceed towards Katunayake for departure.
- En route, visit Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, believed to have been visited by Lord Buddha during his third visit to Sri Lanka.
- Thereafter, continue to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure, carrying cherished memories of Sri Lanka.
Optional Extension
- If guests wish to experience Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka, an additional day can be added for a city tour and shopping before departure at an extra Cost.

The stated per-person rate is calculated based on 6 pax. Rates may vary depending on the final number of pax and the selected travel period (peak, shoulder, or off-peak seasons). For groups with fewer than 6 pax, the per-person rate may be slightly higher, while larger groups may benefit from reduced per-person pricing. Final pricing will be confirmed at the time of booking.
